A major key to winning fantasy football leagues is accurate, detailed projections that help identify the true difference-makers and potential regression risks in IDP. These 2026 IDP projections break down expected production across every defensive position, designed with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and to allow each individual player to have their own unique data attached to those projections.

Knowing how important IDP projections are, and how serious our IDP gamers tend to be, The IDP Show 2026 IDP projections promise to be the most exhaustive and accurate in existence. With nearly 900 IDPs accounted for, each with unique data attached to inform their projections, these rankings include an unprecedented level of detail. This removes any bias that other projections tend to have beyond projected playing time and separates them from actual rankings, which are more personal preference-based.

Below are just some of the key data points built into each IDP’s projection:

  • Expected Sacks data

  • Past production history

  • Built-in natural/realistic regression (positive & negative)

  • Team-level scheme data for expected tackle rates

  • Alignment/deployment projections based on each team’s projected scheme

  • Schedule-based game flow projections for pass vs run splits

  • Projections are using Big-3 Scoring settings, which you can find here.

And for rookies, who don’t have past NFL data to pull from, we’re using The IDP Show’s rookie prospect model to pull multiple realistic comparables from there, using those comparables’ combined average data to help project our Year 1 IDPs.

CUSTOM SCORING PROJECTIONS

We’ve also created a custom scoring projections sheet just for you! This sheet will allow you to enter your own league scoring, and the sheet will automatically update snap shares for you, as I do on my end, to keep it up to date.
