The IDP Trade Show returns on Wednesday with new host Steve Falco and guest Evan Ringler, the Head of Analytics for The IDP Show. They’ll be breaking down your IDP trades, so drop ‘em below! All league sizes and scoring are welcome — just share as many details as you can.
Im trying to sell Alex Highsmith. What is a realstic return to expect in terms of draft capital? He is talented but such a frustrating IDP player to roster...
Can you provide additional details about the league format? Helpful details would include: number of teams, number of starters (offense and IDP separately), whether its superflex or 1QB, and any unique scoring settings. Thanks!
Those details would help lol. It's actually a massive, 6 tiered 84 team league, modeled after English premier soccer with promotions/relegations. Each tier is 14 teams so really it is 6 mini leagues of 14 teams. I'm in the top tier so my draft picks are at the very end of each round.
SF, with 11 IDP starters and I think 10 offensive starters. 56 man rosters. Defensive players are undervalued despite starting 11 players. My other DEs are Garrett, Burns, Karlaftis, Nick Herbig, Sam Williams, Zach Harrison, James Houston and Arnold Ebiketie.
Thanks, I definitely see why you'd be looking to sell a DE given your depth at the position.
I am higher than the market on Highsmith. In terms of pressures and PFF grades he was much better in 2023 than 2022, but unlucky in terms of sacks. Because of this, I don't know if I'd be looking to sell right now. If I was to sell, I would be hoping for a 2nd + a 3rd or 4th.
I don't know if that's realistic though, considering that his 2023 fantasy points weren't that great. I get that he's frustrating, but trust the process!
Looking at possibly moving on from derwin James, not exactly sure what to ask for in return. I have Kyle Hamilton, Kam curl, dax hill and Trent McDuffie on the roster as well, thanks for the help gents

Whether these players are worth rostering depends on how deep the league is, but here are my quick thoughts on each:
Mark Robinson: Unlikely that he's a full time starter in the NFL. Last year, the Steelers LBs were decimated by injuries, and he still only saw a notable role in 1 game. The PFF grades have also been quite poor in his small sample of snaps. I'd say he's only worth rostering in the deepest leagues.
Jordan Howden: I think he's a replacement-level safety. Mathieu and Maye will likely play all of the snaps when healthy in 2024. Beyond this year, I think he could potentially land a full-time role as a FS. Unlikely to be a difference-maker anytime soon, given that deep safeties are reliant on interceptions for splash plays. You wouldn't regret losing him, should be able to replace fairly easily.
James Houston: Worth holding onto in most formats. He was incredible as a rookie despite the low snap count. Injuries derailed his 2023 season. He's likely just a rotational edge rusher that plays on passing downs, but that could still translate to fantasy points if he can maintain his rookie year efficiency.
Follow up on Howden: Marcus Maye was released yesterday, so Howden will slot into the Free Safety role this year. He's worthy rostering in most leagues, but I'm still not expecting a huge season given his usage from last year.
