Johny The Greek's Cornerback Corner: Week 16
What are the best CB options for IDP fantasy football leagues in Week 16?
Welcome back to the Cornerback Corner! As is tradition, we’ll start with transparency and get right into this week’s calls.
Last week, I made 91 calls for leagues of all shapes and sizes. Of those 91 calls, 10 were declared inactive or were injured during play, which caused them to miss their projection (early in the game). Subtracting those players, we’re left with 81 “adjusted” calls.
Of those, 60 were correct (matched, beat, or were within a slim margin of their projection on Yahoo and MFL), and 21 were incorrect (didn’t match or beat projection and weren’t even close), giving us 74% accuracy for Week 15.
Of those 60 correct calls, 30 were “massive hits” (doubled, tripled, or more, their projection), giving us a 50% massive hit rate on correct calls for Week 15.
We are 75% accurate overall for the season, with 41% of all correct calls ending up as “massive hits.”
Week 1: 78% accuracy, 34% massive hit rate
Week 2: 71% accuracy, 43% massive hit rate
Week 3: 76% accuracy, 50% massive hit rate
Week 4: 66% accuracy, 53% massive hit rate
Week 5: 89% accuracy, 40% massive hit rate
Week 6: 80% accuracy, 40% massive hit rate
Week 7: 70% accuracy, 52% massive hit rate
Week 8: 81% accuracy, 43% massive hit rate
Week 9: 72% accuracy, 34% massive hit rate
Week 10: 76% accuracy, 23% massive hit rate
Week 11: 70% accuracy, 39% massive hit rate
Week 12: 83% accuracy, 31% massive hit rate
Week 13: 71% accuracy, 46% massive hit rate
Week 14: 70% accuracy, 40% massive hit rate
Week 15: 74% accuracy, 50% massive hit rate
Please see THIS or THIS if you need a primer in cornerback streaming or what’s being discussed in this article (for new readers).
When I list the corners each week, it’s always STARTER/BACKUP/BACKUP in “depth chart/what we’ve seen” order if we’re dealing with an injured cornerback.
If you notice a player playing safety who is designated a corner in your league of merit, please feel free to comment below. I’ll update the article with that information so we all can share in the bounty of the designation mistakes from these league sites. Thank you!
Keep an eye on the weather this week and throughout fantasy playoffs, if you’re debating between two corners and one of them is playing in a snowstorm then that factor makes the decision for you.
Broncos at Chargers
Outlook: We’ve got a likely defensive struggle to kick off Week 16 with just a 42-point total with Los Angeles favored by a field goal. Both teams are within the worst third of the league for passing yards per game. Denver is a top-ten team for wide receiver targets while Los Angeles is among the middle of the pack. We can fire up our normal cornerback options in deeper leagues for this matchup but I wouldn’t expect any “week-winning performances” from this setup.
Denver Broncos
Patrick Surtain (CB): SOLID, if healthy, he tweaked his ankle after 97% of snaps last week but it’s being described as a minor injury.
Riley Moss (CB): SIT, he’s been inactive for several weeks now and hasn’t even practiced in a limited capacity that I’ve seen. Even if he could play this week would you trust that kind of setup in this kind of matchup? I wouldn’t.
Levi Wallace (CB): SIT/blast out the airlock as a replacement corner option going forward, he was a healthy scratch last week and was displaced by Abrams-Draine.
JaQuan McMillian (CB): SOLID, he played 76% of snaps last week.
Kris Abrams-Draine (CB): With both Wallace inactive and Moss still injured and inactive it was Abrams-Draine as the replacement corner that saw significant snaps. He played 76% of snaps and we do NOT need to chase this in this matchup. If it’s not a healthy Surtain or McMillian, just skip it and look elsewhere. SIT.
Los Angeles Chargers
Elijah Molden (CB/S): SOLID, he played 79% of snaps last week and then sat due to the blowout.
Kristian Fulton (CB): SOLID, he played 93% of snaps last week.
Tarheeb Still (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Texans at Chiefs
Outlook: The early line for this game is 44.5 points, with Kansas City favored by just over a field goal. Houston is among the middle of the pack for passing offense, while Kansas City is within the top third of the league. Houston is within the top third of the league for targeting their wide receivers while Kansas City is within the worst third of the league for this ranking. We can fire up normal corners in medium to deeper leagues and be looking good for this matchup. Demote our Houston options to “deeper leagues only” if Mahomes can’t play this week.
Houston Texans
Derek Stingley (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Kamari Lassiter (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Jeff Okudah (CB): SIT, he only played 9% of snaps but many league sites have him projected like a full-time corner. That is not the case and hasn’t been this entire season.
Kansas City Chiefs
Trent McDuffie (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Chammari Conner (CB/S): SOLID, if healthy, he picked up a concussion after just 35% of snaps last week, Nazeeh Johnson saw a bump in his absence.
Joshua Williams (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, super risky, he played 71% of snaps last week and has seen acceptable/significant playing time the last three weeks or so now.
Nazeeh Johnson (CB): SIT, he did see a bump up to 60% of snaps last week, likely due to the Conner injury, but has been the odd man out recently and was displaced by Williams several weeks ago. It could just as easily be someone else as the replacement if Chammari is inactive this week.
Steelers at Ravens
Outlook: The total for this divisional showdown is a higher 46.5 points with Baltimore favored by just over a field goal. Baltimore is a top-ten passing offense while Pittsburgh is within the worst third of the league for this ranking, passing yards per game. Baltimore targets their wide receivers within the worst third of the league while Pittsburgh is third-worst overall across the league for this ranking. It will be “deeper leagues only” across the board for this one, although the Pittsburgh corners have a slightly better matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Donte Jackson/James Pierre (CB): SOLID if healthy, Jackson suffered a back injury after just 30% of snaps last week and it appears that Pierre was his direct replacement. We don’t need to chase it in this matchup, if Donte is inactive we skip (SIT) Pierre and look elsewhere. It’s the semifinals of fantasy playoffs, not Week 2.
Joey Porter Jr (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Beanie Bishop Jr/Cameron Sutton (CB): SIT them both, Bishop was in for 30% of snaps while Sutton played 39% in Week 15. Neither is getting enough playing time for our interest and the matchup isn’t worth chasing either.
Baltimore Ravens
Ar’Darius Washington (CB/S): IDEAL, he played 100% of snaps last week as a starting safety incorrectly designated a cornerback in Yahoo and perhaps elsewhere.
Marlon Humphrey (CB): SOLID, he played 76% of snaps last week and then sat due to the blowout.
Nate Wiggins (CB): SOLID, he played 90% of snaps last week.
Brandon Stephens (CB): SOLID, he played 94% of snaps last week.
Giants at Falcons
Outlook: The early total for this indoor affair sits at 41.5 points with Atlanta favored by just over a touchdown. Atlanta is the second-best passing offense overall in yards per game while New York is within the worst third of the league. Both teams are within the top ten for targeting their wide receivers. We can fire up our New York options in an ideal matchup (if any of them are healthy this week) but it will be “medium to deeper leagues” for our Atlanta corners. Demote all New York corners to deeper leagues only if Cousins doesn’t get the start.
New York Giants
Deonte Banks/Adoree Jackson (CB): SOLID, Banks should play and play a ton if he’s healthy. If not we know that Jackson is THE preferred replacement cornerback option in New York. If Banks is inactive again then Jackson is also SOLID, sit him otherwise. Jackson would also probably play a good amount if Banks were healthy but Phillips or Flott were inactive, I just can’t guarantee that because we haven’t seen that specific scenario before and I don’t work for the Giants.
Andru Phillips (CB): SOLID, if healthy, he was inactive last week with a shoulder injury.
Cor’Dale Flott (CB): SOLID, if healthy, he was inactive last week with a quad injury.
Greg Stroman (CB): SIT, he did play 92% of snaps last week as a replacement cornerback but we saw Hawkins in that role the week prior. This is why I advise people to usually sit these replacement corners until we’ve seen it at least twice and preferably more than that.
Tre Hawkins (CB): SIT, while he was a replacement corner with significant snaps in Week 14 he was nowhere to be seen in Week 15 in the same scenario. We just don’t know who the Giants are going to play at corner if it’s not Banks, Adoree, or the other normal starters (Flott, Phillips).
Atlanta Falcons
AJ Terrell (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Mike Hughes (CB): SOLID, he was back up to his full 100% of snaps last week.
Clark Phillips (CB): SIT, he did not play at all last week with Hughes finally back to his normal playing time.
Dee Alford (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 72% of snaps last week.
Patriots at Bills
Outlook: The early total for this divisional showdown sits at 46.5 points with Buffalo favored by almost two touchdowns. New England is the worst passing offense in yards per game across the entire league and are within the worst third of the league for wide receiver targets, it will be “deeper leagues only” for our Buffalo corners this week. Taron Johnson is typically involved in run defense enough that he should be OK but it could be a boring day at the office for Benford and Rasul.
For the reverse, we can fire up our New England corners in leagues of all sizes against one of the best overall offenses in the league that is also within the top third of the league for passing yards per game. Buffalo targets their wide receivers among the middle of the pack overall.
New England Patriots
Christian Gonzalez (CB): IDEAL, he played 96% of snaps last week.
Marcus Jones (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only unless your league has return yards, he only played 50% of snaps last week.
Jonathan Jones (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played just 60% of snaps last week. Both “Jones” should see more snaps against this Buffalo offense that will pass more than Arizona did would be my guess.
Buffalo Bills
Cam Lewis (CB/S): SIT, while he did play 100% of snaps last week it’s doubtful we’ll see that exact same scenario again this week (both starting safeties and a starting corner inactive) and the matchup isn’t great to begin with. It’s the Patriots, not the 1963 New York Giants.
Taron Johnson (CB): IDEAL, he played 89% of snaps last week and hasn’t been under projection since Week 9 in many of my leagues.
Rasul Douglas (CB): SIT, he’s been injured the last two weeks and even if he can play this week the matchup is garbage. That plus an elevated risk of reinjury and the stakes (fantasy playoffs semifinals) equals we sit him and look elsewhere.
Christian Benford (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Kaiir Elam/Ja’Marcus Ingram (CB): SIT them both, Ingram was the replacement corner for Rasul a couple of weeks ago but it was Elam last week. We can’t trust it so we’re skipping it.
Cardinals at Panthers
Outlook: We’ve got an acceptable 44.5 points for the early total here with Arizona favored by 4.5 points. Both passing attacks are ranked within the worst third of the league for yards per game through the air. Carolina is within the top third of the league for wide receiver targets while Arizona is within the bottom third. It will be “deeper leagues only” for our Carolina corners and “medium to deeper leagues” for our Arizona corners in Week 15.
Arizona Cardinals
Starling Thomas (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 73% of snaps last week.
Garrett Williams (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 69% of snaps last week.
Sean Murphy Bunting (CB): SOLID, he played 92% of snaps last week.
Max Melton (CB): SIT, he played just 31% of snaps last week.
Carolina Panthers
Jaycee Horn (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Mike Jackson (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Chau Smith-Wade/Dane Jackson (CB): SIT them both, Smith-Wade was in for 51% of snaps last week while Jackson played 8%, neither play enough for us to be interested. Particularly against the “run first, second, third, and always” Cardinals.
Lions at Bears
Outlook: The early total for this NFC North showdown sits at 46.5 points with Detroit favored by a touchdown. Detroit is now the 4th best passing offense in the league while Chicago has fallen to the 3rd worst passing attack overall. Chicago does target their wide receivers within the top ten while Detroit is just among the middle of the pack for this ranking. We can fire up the normal corners in medium to deeper leagues and be looking pretty good for this matchup.
Detroit Lions
Brian Branch (S/CB): IDEAL, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Terrion Arnold (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Kindle Vildor (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 70% of snaps last week as a replacement corner and we’ve seen that before. With Davis out for the rest of the season he should be locked and loaded.
Carlton Davis (CB): SIT/drop. Davis broke his jaw after just 23% of snaps last week and is done for the season. We salute you, Mr. Davis. You’ve been an excellent cornerback option for us for years and we will miss you. Until next season, get well soon.
Amik Robertson (CB): SIT, even with Davis gone almost immediately in this game Robertson did not see a bump in playing time. He played just 34% of snaps last week.
Chicago Bears
Kyler Gordon (CB): SOLID, he played 90% of the snaps last week.
Jaylon Johnson (CB): SOLID, he played 99% of the snaps last week.
Tyrique Stevenson/Terrell Smith (CB): SOLID for Stevenson, but very risky, he was up to 77% of snaps last week and out-snapped Smith for the second week in a row. It looks like he’s (somewhat) reclaimed his job for now. Smith only played 22% of snaps and continues to be a SIT.
Titans at Colts
Outlook: The early total for this AFC matchup sits at just 42.5 points with Indy favored by 4.5 points. Both teams are within the worst third of the league for overall passing offense, yards per game. Indianapolis is within the top third of the league for wide receiver targets but Richardson only completes 11.3 passes per game so that ranking is a bit of smoke and mirrors. It will be deeper leagues only for our Tennessee corners this week. And for the reverse, we should only fire up our Indianapolis corners in deeper leagues as well against this bad Tennessee passing attack.
Tennessee Titans
Chidobe Awuzie (CB): SOLID, he played 99% of snaps last week.
Jarvis Brownlee (CB): SOLID, he played 99% of snaps last week.
Roger McCreary (CB): SIT, he’s been inactive the last two weeks in a row now, and the elevated risk of reinjury (if he can even play this week) plus the bad matchup equals we skip this entirely.
Darrell Baker Jr (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, and only if McCreary is inactive again. SIT otherwise.
Indianapolis Colts
Kenny Moore (CB): SOLID, he played 98% of snaps last week.
Jaylon Jones (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Samuel Womack (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 68% of snaps last week.
Rams at Jets
Outlook: This outdoor affair in the Big Apple has an early total of 46 points with Los Angeles favored by a field goal. Los Angeles is a top-ten passing offense while New York is within the worst third of the league. Los Angeles targets their wide receivers the most across the entire league while New York is also a top-ten team for this ranking. We can fire up our New York corners in leagues of all sizes in an ideal matchup and the same goes for our Los Angeles corners against this New York passing attack that isn’t great but does target their wide receivers enough to have our interest.
Los Angeles Rams
Cobie Durant (CB): SOLID, if healthy, he was inactive last week with a chest injury. Deeper leagues only.
Darious Williams (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Akhello Witherspoon (CB): SIT, even though he did play 100% of snaps last week as the Durant replacement, he typically resides on the practice squad and it’s usually totally random when he gets acceptable snaps. We’ve been trying to figure his situation out all season and it’s still not set in stone. Skip it and find something safer elsewhere. Plus they’ve got the Rodgers Jets, not the 1950 Los Angeles Rams.
New York Jets
Jalen Mills (S/CB): SOLID, if healthy, he played just 18% of snaps last week and then exited with a chest injury.
Sauce Gardner (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
DJ Reed (CB): SOLID, if healthy, he was inactive last week with a groin injury.
Kendall Sheffield (CB): SIT, he was the DJ Reed replacement and played 60% of snaps but we’ve only seen it once and this week is for all the marbles so we won’t be screwing around.
All others (CB): SIT, Michael Carter hasn’t been an option in several weeks now and some other assorted corners saw barely any playing time last week, we can skip them.
Eagles at Commanders
Outlook: The early total for this NFC East showdown sits at an impressive 48 points with Philly favored by a field goal. Washington is among the middle of the pack for passing yards per game while Philly is now the third-worst team overall for this ranking. Washington is among the middle of the pack for wide receiver targets while Philly is among the worst third of the league. It will be “deeper leagues only” for our Washington corners and “medium to deeper leagues” for our Philly corners in Week 16.
Philadelphia Eagles
Cooper DeJean (CB): SOLID, he played 67% of snaps last week.
Darius Slay (CB): SOLID, he played 88% of snaps last week.
Quinyon Mitchell (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Washington Commanders
Quan Martin (S/CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Marshon Lattimore (CB): SOLID, he played 96% of snaps in his Washington debut last week.
Noah Igbinoghene (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he dropped to just 69% of snaps played last week.
Mike Sainristil (CB): SOLID, he played 91% of snaps last week.
Benjamin St Juste (CB): SIT/DROP, he played just 5% of snaps last week and was displaced by Marshon Lattimore as predicted here in the previous article.
Browns at Bengals
Outlook: The early total for this AFC North matchup sits at a massive 49.5 points with Cincy favored by a touchdown. Cincy is the best passing attack in the league while Cleveland is now among the middle of the pack. Both teams are among the top ten for targeting their wide receivers. With this Cincy defense being as bad as it’s been this season plus the other factors above, this is an ideal matchup across the board. We can start all our normal cornerback options in leagues of all sizes for this matchup. Demote all Cincy options to deeper leagues only if Jameis doesn’t get the start.
Cleveland Browns
Denzel Ward (CB): SOLID, he played 96% of snaps last week.
Martin Emerson/Cameron Mitchell (CB): Mitchell appears to be the Emerson replacement and played 88% of snaps last week, we have seen that before therefore he is SOLID this week. Emerson suffered a head injury after just 16% of snaps last week but would be SOLID if he can play this week.
Greg Newsome (CB): SIT/DROP, he went to IR last week and is done for the season.
Myles Harden (CB): SIT, with both Emerson and Newsome out we saw Harden play 55% of snaps last week but we’ve only seen it once and it wasn’t a ton of snaps to begin with. It could just as easily be someone different this week, these aren’t the droids you’re looking for.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cam Taylor Britt (CB): SOLID, he played 99% of snaps last week and that interception may have helped us avoid any future benching (like we saw in Week 11 against Los Angeles).
Mike Hilton (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 71% of snaps last week.
Josh Newton (CB): SOLID, he played 97% of snaps last week.
Vikings at Seahawks
Outlook: The early line for this matchup is 45.5 points with Minnesota favored by a field goal. Seattle is the third-best passing attack while Minnesota is now the 7th best in passing yards per game. Seattle is also within the top ten for wide receiver targets while Minnesota is among the middle of the pack. This looks pretty good! We can fire up our normal options on both sides in leagues of all sizes and hope for the shootout. Demote all Minnesota options to deeper leagues only if Geno doesn’t get the start.
Minnesota Vikings
Josh Metellus (S/CB): SOLID, he played 84% of snaps last week as a safety incorrectly designated a cornerback in Yahoo and perhaps elsewhere.
Stephon Gilmore/Shaq Griffin (CB): Gilmore was inactive last week but would be SOLID if healthy. Griffin has a role regardless but sees a bump in playing time when Gilmore is inactive and functions as the backup. He would be SOLID if Gilmore is inactive again and he played 84% of the snaps last week.
Byron Murphy (CB): SOLID, he played 84% of snaps last week.
Seattle Seahawks
Coby Bryant (S/CB): IDEAL, he played 100% of snaps as a starting safety incorrectly designated a cornerback in Yahoo and perhaps elsewhere.
Devon Witherspoon (CB): IDEAL, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Tariq Woolen (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Josh Jobe (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 58% of snaps last week.
Jaguars at Raiders
Outlook: This AFC showdown has the lowest early total of the week so far at just 39.5 points with Las Vegas favored by just about a field goal. Las Vegas is among the middle of the pack for passing offense while Jacksonville is within the worst third of the league. Both teams are among the middle of the pack for wide receiver targets. This one will be “deeper leagues only” across the board, especially with backup quarterbacks under center for both teams this week.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Darnell Savage (S/CB): SOLID, he played 98% of snaps last week.
Tyson Campbell (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
All others (CB): SIT. Seriously. It’s been a fluctuating dumpster fire all season long and last week was about as bad as I’ve seen it in Jacksonville. If it’s not Campbell or the incorrectly designated Savage then it’s not a good option, particularly in this matchup against whatever backup quarterback Vegas marches out this week.
Las Vegas Raiders
Nate Hobbs (CB): SIT, while he did return to the lineup last week, he only ended up playing 55% of the snaps. That could increase this week but it’s not worth chasing in this particular matchup.
DeCamerion Richardson (CB): SOLID, he continued to play 100% of snaps last week even with Hobbs active once more. It appears he’ll keep his job as the replacement for Jakorian Bennett.
Darnay Holmes (CB): SIT. With Hobbs healthy again, Holmes was the odd man out last week. He did not play at all.
Jack Jones (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
49ers at Dolphins
Outlook: The early total for this one sits at 47.5 points with Miami favored by a point. San Francisco is still a top-ten team for passing yards per game but it’s not looked great for them recently. Miami is among the middle of the pack for this ranking. San Francisco is among the middle of the pack for wide receiver targets while Miami is within the worst third of the league. It will be “medium to deeper leagues” across the board for this one and we’ll hope the “better” versions of these two offenses show up for us in Week 16.
San Francisco 49ers
Chavarious Ward (CB): SOLID, he played 88% of snaps last week.
Deommodore Lenoir (CB): SOLID, he played 98% of snaps last week. He and Ward would be ideal if this were last season’s Tua, this particular version targets his tight end and running backs far more than his wide receivers and it shows in opposing cornerback production.
Renardo Green (CB): SOLID, he played 98% of snaps last week.
Miami Dolphins
Jalen Ramsey (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Kader Kohou (CB): SOLID, deeper leagues only, he played 54% of snaps last week.
Kendall Fuller (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Bucs at Cowboys
Outlook: The early total for the Sunday night game this week sits at 47.5 points with Tampa Bay favored by a field goal. Tampa Bay is a top-ten passing attack while Dallas is within the top third of the league. Tampa Bay is among the middle of the pack for wide receiver targets while Dallas is second overall across the entire league. We can fire up our Tampa Bay corners in leagues of all sizes and “medium to deeper leagues” sounds about right for our Dallas corners in Week 16.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Christian Izien (S/CB): SOLID, he played 83% of snaps last week and is a cornerback in Yahoo, maybe elsewhere.
Jamel Dean (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Zyon McCollum (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Dallas Cowboys
Jourdan Lewis (CB): SOLID, he played 87% of snaps last week.
DaRon Bland (CB): SOLID, borderline ideal if we’re being honest, but I’m reserving that tag for “sure things” this week with the stakes we’re dealing with. He played 100% of snaps last week.
Trevon Diggs (CB): SIT/drop. Diggs will go to IR for knee surgery and his season is now done.
All others (CB): SIT. It’s probably Amani Oruwariye as the backup corner for Diggs with Butler and Carson now on IR. He played 60% of snaps last week but we’ve only seen it once so we can’t trust it yet.
Saints at Packers
Outlook: To round out Week 16 we’ve got a lower total at just 42.5 points for the Monday night game with Green Bay favored by almost two entire touchdowns. The New Orleans passing attack is dead on arrival if they’re marching out another backup quarterback this week, if somehow it’s Carr under center it will still be “deeper leagues only” for our Green Bay corners against this New Orleans passing attack that is within the worst third of the league and dead last in wide receiver targets.
We can fire up our New Orleans corners in medium to deeper leagues against this Green Bay passing attack that is within the top third of the league but only among the middle of the pack for wide receiver targets.
New Orleans Saints
Ugo Amadi (CB/S): IDEAL, he played 79% of snaps last week and has been red hot in the box score for three weeks in a row now. Amadi is designated a corner in MFL but a safety in Yahoo.
Will Harris (S/CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week and is a safety in MFL but a corner in Yahoo.
Alontae Taylor (CB): SOLID, he played 100% of snaps last week.
Koolaid McKinstry (CB): SOLID, if healthy, he played 86% of snaps and then suffered a neck injury. We’re so far into the backups that we’ve got safeties playing corner here routinely, I have no idea who would replace Koolaid if he’s inactive this week.
Green Bay Packers
Jaire Alexander (CB): SIT, he’s been inactive since Week 8. The elevated risk of reinjury that comes with a return to play plus the bad matchup equals skipping it and looking elsewhere this week.
Keisean Nixon (CB): SOLID, he played 95% of snaps last week.
Eric Stokes/Carrington Valentine (CB): SIT, while they both saw excellent snaps that was against an excellent Seattle passing attack, we’re far more likely to see the 50% of snaps each or so from the week prior against this Saints offense if Alexander is inactive again this week. It’s the Saints under a backup quarterback, not the 1941 Chicago Bears.
Byes this week: None
