Week 7 Takeaways
WAIVER WIRE TARGETS
This week’s waiver wire targets are listed by position, in order of priority.
LB Micah McFadden, New York Giants
McFadden made the list last week as a speculative add after Tremaine Edmunds’ injury, but now with confirmation that Edmunds is out for the year, he becomes a priority add. McFadden wore the green dot and delivered a productive IDP performance, and he should remain a solid weekly option for the rest of the season.
LB Isaiah McDuffie, Green Bay Packers
With Zaire Franklin dealing with a hairline fracture in his leg, he’s expected to miss some time, leaving McDuffie as the green-dot linebacker for the time being and a strong fill-in option as needed.
LB Ty’Ron Hopper, Green Bay Packers
Hopper should also see a value boost with Franklin out, after he played a near-every-down role in Week 7, and can be added in non-shallow formats for the time being.
LB Kendal Daniels, Atlanta Falcons
For as long as Divine Deablo is out, Daniels should wear the green dot for the Falcons. While it’s obviously going to be difficult to top this Week 7 game, he’s already shown he can be a much more effective IDP than Deablo this season, making him a strong consideration for most formats.
LB Harold Perkins Jr., Atlanta Falcons
Again, for as long as Deablo is out, Perkins should see an increased workload, though not likely in an every-down capacity. He becomes an option for non-shallow formats if Deablo misses more time.
ED Mike Green, Baltimore Ravens
With Tavius Robinson landing on season-ending IR, Green’s opportunity increases greatly for the rest of his second NFL season. Green comes with a strong college profile and now a full-time opportunity to be a strong DL depth option for non-shallow formats.
ED Jonathon Cooper, Denver Broncos
Cooper returned to the lineup this week, playing a starting role with the potential to be a usable IDP going forward. He was quiet this week, but can be added in non-shallow formats as depth at the position, if needed.
ED James Pearce Jr., Atlanta Falcons
With one game remaining on his eight-game suspension, Pearce is currently the best bet to lead the Falcons’ EDGE group for IDP for the rest of the year. There’s been heavy rotation, aside from an ineffective Cameron Thomas, so Pearce could be a speculative add in deeper leagues if IDP managers are in need.
DT Mason Graham, Cleveland Browns
Graham returned after missing just two games due to injury. While he didn’t produce in his return, his snap share remained at his pre-injury level, and he should bounce back to deliver usable IDP production in non-shallow DT-required formats.
