Walking the IDP Waiver Wire: Week 17
This is it: championship week! Let's go find some title-winning waiver additions.
Hopefully, you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends that was safe and warm. I also hope your fantasy football teams are still playing for what you set out to do back in Week 1. If you are, congratulations! Let’s finish the season strong and bring home those championships with some Week 17 waiver additions.
Defensive Line
Previous Weeks: Gregory Rousseau, Alex Highsmith, Dominique Robinson, Rasheem Green, Dre’mont Jones, Justin Jones, Deatrich Wise Jr, BJ Hill, Shy Tuttle, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Zach Allen, Jihad Ward, Dexter Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong, Derek Brown, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Jarran Reed, Grover Street, Denico Autry, Darrell Taylor, Samuel Williams, Javon Hargrave, Boye Mafe, Jay Tufele, Jerry Hughes, A’Shawn Robinson, Vita Vea, Julian Okwara, Calais Campbell, Myjai Sanders, John Cominsky, Carl Granderson, Zach Sieler, Ed Oliver, Josh Sweat, Chase Young, Micheal Hoecht, DeShawn Williams, Osa Odighizuwa, Brandon Graham, DJ Reader, Dalvin Tomlinson, Romeo Okwara, Frank Clark, JJ Watt
Maliek Collins, Houston Texans
Maliek Collins is not a flashy name, but this six-year pro is playing very well for Lovie Smith and the Texans. Collins has seen his snap count remain steady over the last 6 weeks, which has created a safe floor. Collins gets a divisional matchup with the Jaguars, which the Texans might want to lose in order to keep the number 1 overall pick. This might lead to a positive game script for the defense to score.
Morgan Fox, Los Angeles Chargers
Fox is not a flashy name either, but going into Week 17, you need guys in your lineups who won’t goose you. Fox is that guy. Fox has been super solid with tackles this season: he has four 4-tackle games in his last 6 games, to go along with 2 sacks in that span. The original Battle for LA may have taken place in the skies, but this weekend it will be won and lost on the line. Look for Fox to have another solid game.
