Walking the IDP Waiver Wire: Week 3
Looking at IDPs on your waivers? Here are some players to target.
Welcome back! We had a very good week last week, hitting on many waiver wire acquisitions who performed well in Week 2. If any of the previous week's players are on your waivers, I would consider adding one of those players, in addition to the new players in this article. Let’s get to this week’s additions.
Defensive Line
Previous Week: Gregory Rousseau, Alex Highsmith, Dominique Robinson
Rasheem Green, Houston Texans
After not playing any snaps in Week 1, Rasheem Green proved to be heavily involved in the DL rotation on Sunday. Playing 3 fewer snaps (39) than fellow linemates Jonathan Greenard and Jerry Hughes, Green stuffed the stat sheet with 5 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Green looks to stay hot next week against the Bears’ porous offensive line. I would expect him to meet Mr. Fields early and often in that game.
Dre’mont Jones, Denver Broncos
Dre’mont Jones is a third-year pro from THE Ohio State and had a very quiet Week 1 against Seattle while playing 51 snaps. All that changed in Week 2 while playing against Houston—Jones racked up 6 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble on 53 snaps. Jones will see a much better line next week against the 49ers, but with one of the more balanced offenses in the league, Jones will see plenty of chances to stuff the run and put some pressure on the new—wait, old—49ers QB, Jimmy Garoppolo.
