Walking the IDP Waiver Wire: Week 16
It's the semifinals! If your teams are still in the hunt, waivers will be crucial this week. So, let's try to find some championship-winners on the wire.
If you’re reading this article this time of the year, it means one of two things. One: you are still playing for something in your fantasy leagues. Two: you’re a fantasy junkie like me. Either way, this week’s article has some names that can help you this year or next year (if you play in dynasty leagues). This week, we are going to keep the write-up short and sweet so you can focus on your holiday festivities (and your lineups)!
Defensive Line
Previous Weeks: Gregory Rousseau, Alex Highsmith, Dominique Robinson, Rasheem Green, Dre’mont Jones, Justin Jones, Deatrich Wise Jr, BJ Hill, Shy Tuttle, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Zach Allen, Jihad Ward, Dexter Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong, Derek Brown, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Jarran Reed, Grover Street, Denico Autry, Darrell Taylor, Samuel Williams, Javon Hargrave, Boye Mafe, Jay Tufele, Jerry Hughes, A’Shawn Robinson, Vita Vea, Julian Okwara, Calais Campbell, Myjai Sanders, John Cominsky, Carl Granderson, Zach Sieler, Ed Oliver, Josh Sweat, Chase Young, Micheal Hoecht, DeShawn Williams, Osa Odighizuwa, Brandon Graham, DJ Reader, Dalvin Tomlinson
Romeo Okwara, Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are the feel-good team of the season and their defense is starting to score some serious points. Romeo Okwara returned two weeks ago after recovering from an Achilles and played 38% of snaps. On Sunday, he played 41% of snaps and had 2 sacks. Look for his snaps to increase as the Lions make a playoff push.
Frank Clark, Kansas City Chiefs
Nothing is as sure in life as death, taxes, and playoff Frank Clark. At this stage in his career, Clark is more name than game, but he always strings together a few games each season—typically saving them for the end of the season. Clark has been stringing together some decent games and is currently on a 2-game sack streak and has a nice matchup this weekend against the Seahawks.
