Draft Kit: 2024 IDP Sleepers
These values late in IDP drafts could be the ticket to winning a title.
Thanks to YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, and even Bumble, (well, maybe not Bumble, but you get the idea), sleepers are hard to come by. For me, sleepers have shown the propensity to produce and now find themselves with new teams or roles and are being slept on in fantasy drafts.
They offer a pretty safe floor and an enticing ceiling. They’re not going to boom like a breakout but their bust potential is lower than a fade. These guys are going later in drafts than they should and my projections have them exceeding their draft position.
Odafe Oweh, EDGE, Baltimore Ravens
ADP: DL69 (EDGE51)
I could make an argument that Odafe Oweh could have a breakout season in 2024.
Oweh missed four games during the 2023 season and played just special teams in Weeks 16 and 18. He appeared in 13 total games and 50% of the defensive snaps, grading as Baltimore’s fifth-best defender with a 77.5.
In just 352 pass-rush snaps, Oweh generated a 15.3% pressure rate and a 24% win rate. I would have liked to have seen a better pressure-to-sack ratio, but he still had 9 QB hits and 5 sacks. Oweh was probably one of the reasons Baltimore didn’t feel that a Jadeveon Clowney re-signing was a priority.
Speaking of Clowney, he vacates 545 pass-rush snaps, which I think will be absorbed by Oweh. The additional usage is a big reason I’m high on his sack rate for 2024. He’s shown steady improvement year over year and I’m projecting a career year.
Oweh is being drafted as the DL69/EDGE51. He should far exceed his ADP. I’ve got him projected for 8.2 sacks and he’s my DL39.
