Thanks! I think I'd hold Wagner for now. There's still a decent chance he signs somewhere and is a starter. You'll probably still be able to grab Rodriguez right before Week 1 if Wagner doesn't sign anywhere

Thanks. Barnes for Deablo is a trade I'm trying to pull off. Does this make sense due to the opportunity the latter looks to be on for this coming season? (Sorry - final question for now)

Yep, I’d aim for Deablo there. And no problem, always feel free to reach out 🫡

Great article! If you have the choice (and I already have Barnes), would you drop Bobby Wagner and pick up M.Rodriguez?

Sorry. Hard pass on Rodriguez. I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt assuming this was written before the White signing. While, I'm far from a White truther, its hard for me to believe they brought him in for training camp depth. Said with love.

Yeah, Rodriguez is hurt now so we’ll probably not know for sure, unfortunately…

Thanks for the post- although I think I’m still searching for another starting LB given how your comments about Trotter make me shaky about trusting Roseboom. What are your thoughts on Christian Elliss? I half-expected him in this deep sleeper article, given he has less competition this year in NE with Gibbens leaving and NE must like him since they matched a tender offer to keep him. Thank you- and I’m sorry if you were trying to not talk about Elliss so you could take him late in your home draft…

Lol no it's okay. Funny enough, Elliss just missed the cut. I like his potential and if Rodriguez's injury that he suffered today turns out to be serious, he's one of my replacement options if I update the article later in the week. But yes, definitely agree with Elliss' potential as a sleeper and worth an add in deeper leagues

Great article as always Jon. How is it you're not overly concerned about White's impact on Rodriguez? He's just come off a monster season at LV and he's only a year or so older. Do you envision White being more of a backup to Campbell, rather than a positional threat to Rodriguez? Thanks.

Thanks, and for me, White has not been a good NFL linebacker by any means, and his getting a full-time role last year was more out of the Raiders' desperation than anything. He was great for IDP, but continues to be a liability for an NFL team. The team also basically alluded to the idea that he was added as depth after rookie Jimmy Rolder suffered an injury that's likely going to cost him the year. White getting signed now instead of earlier in the offseason also kind of confirms that he's not thought of as a starter. Maybe he makes the roster and becomes relevant again, but I think the odds are lower for that happening, but we'll see.

Really appreciate the prompt response and the detail, thank you.
