2025 IDP Waiver Wire: Week 4
Who are the IDPs you should target on the waiver wire in your league?
Week 3 brought us some pain. Losing Nick Bosa for the season is going to hurt a lot of rosters, including some of mine. I’m offering several options to replace Bosa this week. We also lost Will Harris to the IR. I’m not sure if it will be Jeremy Reaves or Darnell Savage replacing Harris, so I’ve left them both off my list this week. Reaves has drawn praise from Dan Quinn, but Savage is a former first-round pick, and first-round picks get a lot of chances.
Whether you need starters, injury replacements, or potential bye week fill-ins, I’ve got you covered. We all play in leagues of varying depth—with different IDPs on the waiver wire—so I’m going to identify IDP waiver targets at each position for shallow, average, and deep leagues. Let’s dive into this week’s targets.
Linebacker
Shallow: Carson Schwesinger, LB, Cleveland Browns
Carson Schwesinger has proven to be a reliable every-down linebacker with a strong blend of tackle volume, playmaking potential, and speed. While he is rostered in 63% of leagues, he is still available in many shallow leagues.
He’s played 98.2% of snaps through three weeks and has already totaled 21 tackles and 1 sack. Schwesinger holds an 81.6 overall grade per PFF, which is impressive for a veteran, even more so for a rookie.
His consistent usage and early production make him a strong LB2 even in shallow formats. As he continues to progress this year, there is a chance he hits LB1 status. Best to get him on your roster now if he is available in your league.
Average: Demario Davis, LB, New Orleans Saints
Demario Davis is the less heralded ageless wonder amongst greats Bobby Wagner and Lavonte David, and continues to be a consistent producer at linebacker with a 90.4 PFF grade. He has logged a 97.8% snap share and has totaled 31 tackles.
His 16.3% tackle efficiency is on pace for the best of his career. The Saints have a high zone coverage rate this year, so hopefully the tackling will continue. He has scored 15.75, 13.75, and 12.25 points this year using Big 3 scoring. That consistency is a great help in managed leagues to provide some balance to big play EDGEs.
