2024 IDP Waiver Wire: Week 6
Mike Woellert identifies the IDP targets on this week's waiver wire.
The injuries let up a bit in Week 5, but we still probably have our share of roster cloggers, so we may need to pour some Liquid Plumr to remove the gunk. Plus, we have another four teams on bye in Week 6.
Need to make some adjustments? That’s what we’re here to help with. Without further ado, let’s look ahead to this week’s IDP waiver wire targets.
Linebacker
KJ Britt, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With Sirvocea Dennis on IR, a clear path to a full-time role opened for KJ Britt.
Over the last few weeks, Britt had been losing snaps to Dennis on passing situations, and well, if you saw Week 5, you’d understand why. Britt, however, is one of Tampa’s lone options at LB. Britt played in 91% of the snaps against Atlanta.
Although he graded poorly overall, he did well against the run and missed on just one tackle attempt, after missing on 6 in his previous four games.
Britt was credited with 4 defensive stops, which were a positive play for the defense. Here, Britt has a good jump off the snap and beats his would-be blocker to limit Bijan Robinson to two yards:
Britt played in 78 snaps, including OT, and finished with an 11.8% tackle rate, resulting in 9 tackles. Dennis will miss at least the next 4 games, so Britt will have IDP value as an LB3/4.
