2024 IDP Waiver Wire: Week 16
Mike Woellert identifies the IDP targets on this week's waiver wire.
We’re headed into Week 16, and with any luck, advancing in the playoffs. Hopefully, you were able to overcome any duds or injuries this past week. As you set your claims for Week 16, here are your targets for this week’s IDP waiver wire.
Linebacker
Christian Harris, Houston Texans
The Texans threw Christian Harris to the wolves in his first game of the season.
Before the bye week, Azeez Al-Shaair received a suspension that could end his season — or, at least, his fantasy season. Harris was removed from IR and was practicing throughout the week. The question was, “Whose snaps would he impact?”
Turns out, it was Neville Hewitt. Henry To’oTo’o kept the green dot and Harris was a full-time LB opposite To’oTo’o. The Texans were in their base and dime for just a handful of snaps, as Houston was nickel-heavy which resulted in Harris appearing in 82% of the snaps.
Here, he makes a solid tackle on Raheem Mostert:
PFF graded him favorably (79.2) and he produced a 14.3% tackle rate, resulting in 8 tackles. It’s rare when you can find a full-time LB this late in the fantasy season. Favorable matchups with the Chiefs and Ravens await him over the next few weeks and is looking like an LB3.
