2024 IDP Waiver Wire: Week 13
Mike Woellert identifies the IDP targets on this week's waiver wire.
We’re headed into Week 13 and the Thanksgiving holiday. We don’t have any teams on bye, but six teams play on Thursday. With fantasy playoffs just two weeks away for most leagues, we’re to help you gear up for a run by making any necessary roster adjustments. Here are the names to know on your IDP waiver wire for Week 13.
Linebacker
Tyrel Dodson, Miami Dolphins
It looked like Tyrel Dodson was being eased into the defense this week, but Anthony Walker’s hamstring injury threw him to the wolves.
Dodson finished with a decent overall grade (69.9) and was solid in run defense (79.5) and right around average in coverage (66.9). In coverage, he allowed just 13 total yards after the catch. Dodson saw a near full-time role in Week 12 due to Walker’s injury and played the entire second half wearing the dot.
Here was one of his tackles. Here he breaks on the tight end and limits any yards after catch. He also had an INT, where it looked like he was going to pressure the QB, but he watched Drake Maye’s eyes after Jalen Ramsey hurried him to get the one-handed INT.
Dodson finished with 5 tackles and a 10.4% tackle rate. The severity of Walker’s injury is unknown, but with a quick turnaround, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Walker on the doubtful side of questionable. Dodson is producing an 11.7% tackle rate between Seattle/Miami and is looking like an LB3 as the playcaller of the defense with a three-down role.
