2024 IDP Waiver Wire: Week 12
Mike Woellert identifies the IDP targets on this week's waiver wire.
We’re headed into Week 12 and had a few major injuries occur. In addition to that, we have a big bye week with six teams at home this week.
We’re to help you navigate the moves and make the adjustments. Let’s look ahead to Week 12 and the names to be aware of on your IDP waiver wire.
Linebacker
Malcolm Rodriguez, Detroit Lions
Alex Anzalone suffered a forearm injury, and you know it’s bad when even the player knows it’s broken. It looks like Malcolm Rodriguez is the next man up.
Rodriguez seems to have a role in the defense, has been on the field for 46% of the snaps, and has played three games with a 50% + usage rate. He’s put together some solid games and has been graded relatively well by PFF, especially for his run defense and tackling. Rodriguez has a missed tackle rate of 8.7%.
Although Rodriguez had just 3 tackles, he was on the field for all 5 snaps in Week 11. I’ve always pulled for Rodrigo, as he’s a good, hard-nosed football player.
Through 11 weeks, Rodriguez is producing a 13.5% tackle rate, so there’s LB3 upside here if he gets the full-time opposite Campbell.
